Stereotyping, Prejudice and Discrimination

In our life we faced a lot of problems and challenges that make us think for a while about how we can skip of this issue and get the experience of how to deal with these problems that we see it in life. And when the world is getting bigger and huge we can see the differences between people and their culture and we don’t know about them a lot and that causes problems. The problems that we face know in our world is stereotype, prejudice and discrimination and we are going to explain them each one in this essay.

Firstly, the definition of stereotype is a judgment that comes from the image of the people and trying to destroy it. We can find the stereotype in the mass media and the effect of the stereotype is huge because it gives the incomplete image of group of people or group of nation. And the example of stereotype is when we say “All people who has long beard are dangerous and terrorists.

Secondly, prejudices in the past are the prejudgment of the people based on the ethnic. But this term has been change now and it becomes more than just ethnic and inserts all the prejudgment that based on fear and ignoring. One of the examples is when people of one nation said something based on hate of another nation because of wars between these two nations.

Thirdly, discrimination is the behavior or action and the treatment of people that based on age, color of the skin, sex, and religion. Discrimination has a positive side but the negative side is the most and the huge that people when they read about discrimination they think about the negative side. Well as we can see that discrimination is based on stereotype and prejudice, because if we fundamentally goes through this word we can find that every discrimination has a stereotype of generalize and the prejudice of the pre judgment on people.

In conclusion, I think that we can find the solution of stereotype; prejudice and discrimination by understand each other and make our own judge based on how we know people and stop listen to the mass media.
